    Hydrant Flushing Begins April 19

    Department of Public Works crews will begin fire hydrant flushing April 19 and maintenance procedures at various locations throughout the City.  Flushing will be accomplished only during daylight hours.  Please look for posted signs for hydrant flushing in your area.

    April 15 Planning Commission Meeting Notice

    Public notice is hereby given that the City of Petoskey Planning Commission will meet in regular session, 7:00 P.M., April 15, 2021.  This meeting will be conducted by electronic means through a resolution of the Emmet County Board of Commissioner that extended the Declaration of a Local State of Emergency through June 30, 2021 as allowed by Section 10 of the Emergency Management Act in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and to promote public health, welfare and safety.  This meeting is open to the public to participate remotely.

    ZBA Approves Variances

    Meeting in regular session, Tuesday, April 6, 2021, the Zoning Board of Appeals approved rear and side yard setback variances for an accessory building at 621 East Mitchell Street and denied variances for construction of a new dwelling at 326 West Lake Street.

    Unemployment rates continue to be extremely high with many individuals and families struggling to pay their monthly utility bills. The City of Petoskey continues to partner with a number of local organizations to assist with utility payments.
