Elections

The Mayor shall be elected for a term of two (2) years. The Councilmembers shall be elected for a term of three (3) years. Terms shall begin on January 1 of the year following the election.

February 27, 2024 Presidential Primary
May 7, 2024 Special Election (City Hall will be open Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 7:30am to 3:30pm for voter registration and absentee ballots only.)
August 6, 2024 Primary Election
November 5, 2024 General Election

Early Voting Information

To All Qualified Electors in the City of Petoskey

Notice is hereby given by resolution of the Emmet County Election Commission under authority granted in Public Act 81 of 2023, that the location of the early voting site for all federal and statewide election dates will be the following:

599 West Conway Road
Harbor Springs, MI  49740

All qualified electors in the City of Petoskey have the right to mark a ballot and deposit the ballot in a tabulator beginning the second Saturday before an election and ending the Sunday before the election.  Early voting will be available at the early voting site for the following hours:

8:30am to 4:30pm Daily
