Park Security Officer-Seasonal

The Petoskey Department of Public Safety is currently accepting applications for a seasonal Park Security/Cadet position. Park Security provides foot, bike, and vehicle patrol of the downtown business district, city parks, and special events. They will also provide assistance to citizens and work closely with Public Safety Officers. Potential applicants must be able to walk, stand, and/or bike for long periods of time and will spend the majority of the shift outside. The shifts vary but will primarily consist of afternoon, nights, holidays, and weekends. Beginning and end dates for this position are flexible. Applicants must be 18 or older, have an excellent driving record, and must pass a background check. Educational background in law enforcement or the natural resources field is desirable and this position qualifies as a Criminal Justice Internship.
