Solanus Mission Beach

Location: Along Lake Michigan shoreline just west of Ingalls Avenue. Size: One acre. Map of Park Area.

This stony, dune-like environment abuts a small cove on Lake Michigan’s Little Traverse Bay and provides 500 feet of accessible beach frontage via boardwalk from either end of the park. The boardwalk is accessible from the Little Traverse Wheelway or the Bayfront West Parking lot and provides users with an experience unique to the shores of Little Traverse Bay. The beautiful park includes an overlook deck, a shore level boardwalk that meanders on the beach, and a mobility mat leading to the ordinary high water mark. The beach is accessible from the Little Traverse Wheelway with adequate seating, bike racks and trash cans.
