Available Resources for COVID-19

Dear Petoskey Community Members,

Below are several great resources that you may want to share with "at-risk populations" or anyone having a hard time coping with the current pandemic. Feel free to share accordingly.

The following resources may be helpful:
https://afsp.org/ (Experiencing anxiety or other mental health issues)
https://riseandshine.childrensnational.org/ (Resources for children)

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has also launched a COVID-19 Hotline 1-888-535-6136 that is available 7 days a week from 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. and staffed by a public health expert who can respond to your calls.

Char-Em United Way: Information and referrals to local resources, including school food programs, can be reached by calling 211. This resource is free and available 24/7.

Char-Em United Way Community Economic Relief Fund to help with bills, rent and food – Call 1-866-211-9966.

During difficult times like these it is critical that we reach out in an appropriate and safe manner (social distancing) to older family members, neighbors or other at-risk groups. As community members it is incumbent for us to not panic but practice a heightened awareness of the conditions around us. The next 15 days or so are critical to flattening the numbers of those that are stricken by the virus. Please encourage everyone to hunker down with family members.
