Curbside collection of recyclables is available to all Petoskey residents at no direct cost.
If you live in Petoskey, but don’t have a tote or cart, call Emmet County DPW at 231-348-0640. The County will deliver one to you within a week. For a low annual fee, businesses in these communities can also use the service.
Drop-Off Center
The Emmet County Drop-Off Center accepts:
- garbage (for transfer to a landfill)
- yard waste (to be composted),
- your day-to-day paper, cardboard and
- containers to be recycled, and more unusual materials to be recycled: tires, construction and demolition materials, TVs, hazardous recyclables, clothes and shoes.
Open weekdays 8:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M. and Saturday's 8:00 A.M.-3:00 P.M. except major holidays.

Glen’s North: In Glen’s Plaza, at the west end near the coin laundry. (No bin for office waste.)
Petoskey Downtown: In the Petoskey News-Review parking lot at the corner of Howard and Michigan Streets.
