The Department of Finance is responsible for the City's administrative and financial reporting.  It provides all City departments and offices with centralized budgeting, accounting, treasury, debt-management, purchasing, billing, collections, payroll and fringe benefits, insurance, personnel, and data-processing services.  The Department oversees the 14 funds that currently make up the City's annual budget.  For the year 2020, the budget includes approved expenditures of $37,338,900, with $32,820,400 in operating costs and $4,518,500 for construction projects and major purchases, all which were to be offset by $34,339,400 in anticipated revenues from a variety of sources and from cash reserves.
