Small Yard Waste
The City will begin collecting small yard wastes (materials raked from yards, flowers, shrub clippings, etc.) weekly, every Thursday, beginning April 1, through June 10, 2010.

Please do not place small yard wastes loosely along streets or curb-and-gutter lines as they could be washed into storm sewers. Instead, place them in open, reusable containers that weigh less than 50 pounds. Such containers will be left behind by collectors. Please have yard waste placed within curb-lawn areas of rights-of-way no later than 8:00 A.M. on the day of collection. Grass clippings will not be picked up by collectors but can be delivered along with other small yard waste to the south side of Sheridan Street, directly across from the City's Public Works facility.

Brush Chipping and Disposal
The City will provide bi-weekly (every two weeks) brush chipping and disposal services on Mondays, beginning April 5 through November 29, 2010. Tree limbs and large brush are removed by a separate contractor, but only those with branch diameters of one-half-inch or greater may be placed along streets and separated from other materials for collection.
