Meeting in regular session on July 19, 2010, the City Council:

Approved a loan at 2% interest from the Electric Fund to the General Fund for construction of a Public Safety Station West at City-owned property housing the former Western Concrete building for renovations in the amount of $731,406, and deferred discussion for funding the loan payback;

Approved Ordinance 716 that adopted the 2009 edition of the International Property Maintenance Code and repealed Article II of Chapter 13 of the City of Petoskey Code of Ordinances entitled "Substandard Buildings or Structures" and all other ordinances and parts of the ordinances in conflict;

Conducted the first of two readings of a proposed ordinance that would amend a schedule of fines referenced in Ordinance 715 as "Exhibit A" to include a schedule of fines for violation of Ordinance 710 'Fire Prevention Code" of the City of Petoskey;

Confirmed Traffic Order 3-134 that approved the administrative decision to designate Jackson Street-Ingalls Avenue as an all-way-stop intersection and Traffic Order 9-112 that would confirm the administrative decision to make a 70-foot section of curb area, located on the north side of the street in front of Appleyard Child Care Center, 414 Monroe Street, a "no-parking-drop-off/pick-up zone", Monday through Friday, 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.; and

Adopted a resolution that confirmed the City Council's endorsement and authorization for submission of a Proposal Summary to the Local Revenue Sharing Board in the amount of $32,000 for funding the refurbishing of City of Petoskey/Public Schools of Petoskey Recreation Complex tennis courts located along Hill Street.
