Meeting in special-session Tuesday, July 6, the City Council:

Confirmed that Hospice of Little Traverse Bay, Petoskey, was a local not-for-profit organization operating within the City as a requirement for a gaming license to conduct a ticket sales quilt raffle as a fundraising event;

Authorized a contract with Team Elmer's Crane and Dozer Co., Inc., Traverse City, for US-131 sanitary-sewer rehabilitation, for $207,700, with authorization to enter into a cost-sharing arrangement with the Springvale-Bear Creek Sewage Disposal Authority for its portion of participating costs estimated at $75,582.75;

Further considered and tabled until July 19, 2010, a proposed ordinance that would adopt the 2009 edition of the International Property Maintenance Code, regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance of all property, buildings and structures; by providing the standards for supplied utilities and facilities and other physical things and conditions essential to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary and fit for occupation and use, and the demolition of existing structures in the City of Petoskey providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fess therefore; repealing Article II of Chapter 13 of the City of Petoskey Code of Ordinances entitled "Substandard Buildings or Structures" and all other ordinances and parts of the ordinances in conflict therewith; and

Approval of an amended agreement to the 1989 Bay View Association of the United Methodist Church electric utility agreement and authorized the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the amended agreement.
