    Parks & Rec Commission Hosting "Picnic in the Park" at Washington Park

    The Parks and Recreation Commission will be hosting a "Picnic in the Park" at Washington Park on August 9 from 5:00-6:30 P.M. Dinner (the grilling kind), games and play equipment will be provided for the kids.  The intent of the picnic is to engage the neighborhood with the park and with each other.  City staff will also be on hand to help, listen and answer any questions.

    Planning Commission Hears 200 E. Lake Street Presentation

    Meeting in regular session, Thursday, July 19, 2018 the Planning Commission heard a presentation on the conceptual plan for 200 East Lake Street.  The Commission also approved the Downtown Strategic Plan 2018-2022.

    The regular meeting of the City of Petoskey Zoning Board of Appeals scheduled for 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 7, 2018 has been canceled due to a lack of agenda items. The next regular meeting is scheduled for 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 4, 2018.

    Downtown Farmers Market

    The Downtown Petoskey Farmer's Market is back again this summer and will be held every Friday from June 15th to September 28th, from 8:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. in the 400 block of Howard Street between Mitchell and Michigan Streets (between J.C. Penney's and Julienne Tomatoes). Streets will be closed off to welcome local producers and the bounty of fresh items that they have to offer. Stop by and find everything that you would need for a wonderful meal, from organic meats to fresh fruits and vegetables, and even flowers to finish the table off.

    You can contribute to making our community a greener place by choosing to have a portion, or all of your electricity generated by renewable sources. The City of Petoskey is now offering a Voluntary Renewable Energy Program for all electric customers to help create a better future for Petoskey!
