Location: Fronting US-31, Lewis Street, and Rose Street, east of Howard Street. Size: 2.5 acres

 

Description:

This former limestone quarry was redeveloped as a parcel of open green space adjacent to Arlington Park at the edge of Petoskey’s downtown business district. It is located near the historic Stafford’s Perry Hotel and offers dramatic views of Little Traverse Bay from its bluffs. In 2005, the City Council authorized installation of a statue honoring Ignatius Petoskey, the community’s namesake, a gift from a former Petoskey resident.
